Mobile Infirmary is one of the country's leaders in clinical trials for cancer research and was nationally recognized as a top site in 1995. Our institution has membership in a multitude of National Cancer Institute cooperative research groups. Through these memberships, we maintain affiliations with prestigious research institutions such as Vanderbilt University, Tulane University, and M.D. Anderson. Our institution also participated in the National Sunbelt Melanoma Trial affiliated with the University of Louisville and is a member of the Association of Community Cancer Centers.
All research protocols are reviewed by an on-site Institutional Review Board which meets on a monthly basis. The IRB has been audited by the FDA and has received favorable reviews.
