The Infirmary Health System Staffing Pool is designed for nurses who want to continue their nursing careers, but in a more flexible and unscheduled manner. Nurses who apply for the Staffing Pool will go through Infirmary Health System’s normal hiring and orientation process and will be subject to the IHS personnel policies and procedures. Staffing Pool nurses may float between the following IHS facilities: Infirmary West, Infirmary Long Term Acute Care Hospital, Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, North Baldwin Infirmary, and Thomas Hospital.
Staffing Pool Nurses must meet the following requirement:
- Must work a minimum of 24 hours per quarter.
- Must be able to float between units and facilities with demonstrated competencies.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing.
- Must have current Licensure in the State of Alabama.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a RN in an acute care setting.
- Must have experience as a RN in an acute care setting within the last 5 years.
